South Campus Gateway Property Overview

South Campus Gateway is an urban mixed-use project with retail, entertainment, residential and office uses.  Located on High Street, the "main street" of Columbus' University District, it draws more than 3.5 million visitors spending $175 million annually.

Gateway attractions include:

  • A flagship 55,000 square foot university bookstore operated by Barnes & Noble College Booksellers
  • An eight screen cinema and conference center
  • A wide variety of local and national retailers and restaurants such as Eddie George's Grille 27, Ugly Tuna Saloona, AT&T, EB Games and Revol

The "Alley" at South Campus Gateway features many types of special events throughout the year including OSU Gameday activities, live music, fashion shows, arts exhibits, product demos and more. The Wexner Center for the Arts, major sporting venues and other university facilities are within walking distance.

The Ohio State University is the nation's largest campus with nearly 60,000 students and more than 23,000 faculty and staff.

30,000 cars pass the site daily with convenient access to downtown Columbus, I-71 at the 11th Avenue exit and the SR 315 expressway. Gateway stores are centrally located and ample parking is only minutes away via the 1,200 space Gateway Parking Garage, with entrances off East 9th and East 11th Avenues, just off North High Street. Parking is only one dollar for the first three hours.

  • More than 200 university office workers on-site including OSU Human Resources and OSU Legal Affairs
  • More than 300 residents occupying 190 apartments which are offered to graduate students, including those in the OSU Law and Medical Schools and faculty and staff
