FAQs
PayPal helps keep your transaction secure by not sharing your full financial information. This layer of security disintermediates CBRE from collecting unnecessary data, but enables the company to collect your donation.
Any time you send a donation through PayPal the system will send you an email to confirm the transaction. As a reminder, if you ever receive a confirmation email for a PayPal transaction you did not make, alert PayPal right away and an investigation will be launched.
No, you do not need to register, either with CBRE or with PayPal, to donate. You may donate through the convenience of a debit or credit card.
Yes. Every donor gets a tax receipt from PayPal for each donation they make. PayPal sends tax receipts to donors by email.
Typically, it takes 15-45 days for a donation to be granted to an enrolled charity, such as those associated with CBRE Foundation and CBRE Cares.
Donations to CBRE programs or projects through PayPal are generally not refundable. If your donation was made in error, or was not authorized by you, review PayPal’s Donation Refund Policy to learn more.
PayPal provides a checkbox at the time of transaction labeled “Make this a monthly donation.” Once selected, you’ll authorize PayPal to pay CBRE Inc. Foundation each month. You can change or cancel a recurring donation anytime in your PayPal account settings.
We financially support CBRE employees in the causes they feel most strongly about, matching employee donations made to CBRE Foundation and qualified 501(c)(3) charities at a rate of up to 50%. Donations are matched up to the amount planned in our annual budget and are on a first-come, first-served basis. CBRE employees should visit the CBRE Global Intranet for guidelines on making a Matching Funds donation.
