CBRE has been selected to provide facilities and project management and related services across the Province of British Columbia’s 17-million-square-foot real estate portfolio. Managed through the Province’s Ministry of Citizens’ Services (Ministry), the portfolio contains a mix of leased, owned and managed assets, including offices, courthouses, corrections centres and warehouses.

The Ministry’s Real Property Division is responsible for providing innovative, responsive and cost-effective real property services to the public sector. Through a fair, open and collaborative procurement process, the Ministry identified CBRE as the service provider that would deliver maximum value to the Province through high service quality, innovation and a broad range of experience in implementing industry-leading best practices.

“The goal of our bid process was to identify a service provider to deliver services that align with our key government priorities, like our Clean BC Government Buildings Program,” said Sunny Dhaliwal, Assistant Deputy Minister, Real Property Division, Ministry of Citizens’ Services. “This new agreement will ensure British Columbians get the best value for money, provides social benefits to people and businesses, and creates good-paying jobs while improving the condition and performance of our buildings. We’re confident we’ve found a strong partner with CBRE.”

“We’re excited to support the Ministry in its mission of delivering efficient and effective services,” said Werner Dietl, President and CEO of CBRE Limited. “We also are eager to implement the solutions we’ve developed from managing 6.1 billion square feet of facilities globally and from managing other large, prominent, public portfolios in Canada.”

“We are looking forward to this long-term partnership with the Province of British Columbia’s Real Property Division to serve the public servants and citizens of British Columbia,” said Ryan Clayton, Senior Managing Director of CBRE’s Global Workplace Solutions business. “CBRE’s culture and foundational values promoting inclusion and supply chain diversity align extremely well with the Province’s strategic objectives and guiding principles.”

CBRE delivers portfolio-level real estate solutions through its GWS business, which provides occupiers of real estate a broad suite of integrated, contractually based services, including facilities management, project management, transaction management and management consulting.
