Katie Bloom, Managing Director, Goldman Sachs
Katie is a managing director in Real Estate within Goldman Sachs Asset Management, with oversight of the US Multifamily team. She is responsible for the acquisition, development and asset management of apartments across the US. Previously, Katie was responsible for acquisition at Archon Group from 2006 to 2012. She joined Archon, formerly a subsidiary of Goldman Sachs, in 2000 as an analyst. Katie was named managing director in 2015. Katie serves on the board of the National Multifamily Housing Council. Katie earned a BA in Finance with real estate and marketing emphasis from Texas Christian University in 2000.

Steven Campisi, Managing Partner, Hillpointe
Steven is a co-founder and co-manager of Hillpointe. He heads the firm’s capital markets and investor relations efforts and is jointly responsible for the firm’s new project origination, pre-development, project underwriting and asset management activities. Across his career, Steven has been involved in the financing and development of approximately $3 billion of institutional real estate. Prior to co-founding Hillpointe, Steven co-founded and served as Managing Partner of Greenstalk Capital, a real estate focused private equity investment firm. While at Greenstalk, Steven led the firm’s transaction origination, capital markets, and underwriting functions. Prior to Greenstalk, Steven served as an Equity Research Analyst at Robert W. Baird, an employee-owned wealth management, capital markets, asset management and private equity firm, and as an analyst at Bay Head Capital, a high-frequency trading incubator for investment management firms. Steven holds the Chartered Financial Analyst designation. He received a Masters in International Business and a B.S. in Finance from the University of Florida.

Dr. Chlump Chatkupt, Founder, CEO, PLACEMAKE.IO
Chlump has over 19 years of experience in developing artificial intelligence and novel mathematical and technological solutions to a number of problems. His current goal is to revolutionize the worlds of real estate, location, and mobility. Prior to founding PLACEMAKE.IO, Chlump was a mathematics researcher at the London School of Economics and Political Science, a strategic advisor to Abbott Laboratories, and the founder of an economic consulting firm. Chlump has written widely on a number of topics from mathematics to asylum policy and has won a number of academic and professional prizes for his work. Chlump holds a PhD in Mathematics from the London School of Economics and Political Science, an MA in Philosophy from New York University, and a BA in Economics from Northwestern University.

JP Conklin, Founder and President at Pensford and LoanBoss, Inc.
JP Conklin is the founder of two companies within the commercial real estate industry. Pensford Financial Group is an interest rate advisory firm, and LoanBoss, Inc. is a loan management software company.
JP started his career twenty years ago on the Wachovia trading floor, selling interest rate derivatives to commercial real estate groups. He left in 2009 to start Pensford, with the goal of leveling the playing field between the banks and the borrowers. After nearly 15 years, Pensford is an industry leading provider of hedge services to more than 800 commercial and multifamily real estate firms and executes over 1,000 hedge transactions and defeasances each year. He has a weekly newsletter read by more than 15,000 industry professionals and a podcast his wife makes him do on the same topics.
JP launched LoanBoss in late 2019 to address the technology gap around debt tools for the same customers. LoanBoss provides a turnkey solution for document centralization, complex calculations, interest rate analysis. LoanBoss is the winner of numerous technology awards and remains the industry leading loan management tool, serving some of the largest sponsors and brokerages in the country. JP is an economics graduate of UNC Chapel Hill, served in the US Army’s 1/75th Ranger Battalion, and is a private pilot. He is a proud father of five and lives in Charlotte, NC.

Julia Coronado, President and Founder, MacroPolicy
Julia Coronado is President and Founder of the economic research firm MacroPolicy Perspectives and a Clinical Associate Professor at the McCombs School of Business at the University of Texas Austin. Julia received her Ph.D. in Economics from the University of Texas then served as an economist at the Federal Reserve Board of Governors in Washington DC for eight years forecasting the US economy and publishing scholarly articles on pension finances and market valuations, retirement saving, and digital currency and monetary policy. Before founding MacroPolicy Perspectives Julia served as Chief Economist for the global investment bank BNP Paribas and asset manager Graham Capital. She is past President and current Board member of the National Association of Business Economists, and currently serves as an independent director on the Boards of Robert Half International and Dynex Capital and is a member of the Advisory Boards of the Dallas Fed, the Bureau of Economic Analysis, the Pension Research Council at the Wharton School, and the Cleveland Fed's Center for Inflation Research.

Paul Fiorilla, Director of Research, Yardi Matrix
Paul Fiorilla is Director of Research at Yardi Matrix, the data division of Yardi Systems. He has more than a quarter century as a thought leader in the commercial real estate industry working as a researcher and analyst. Before joining Yardi, he was an investment vice president in the research group of Prudential Real Estate Investors (now PGIM), and before that covered CMBS and CRE capital markets for Commercial Mortgage Alert.
Paul is an active member of industry trade groups including CRE Finance Council, Pension Real Estate Association (PREA), National Multifamily Housing Council, National Association for Business Economics and National Council of Real Estate Investment Fiduciaries (NCREIF). He is a contributing author to the Urban Land Institute/PWC’s annual Emerging Trends outlook and has served since 2011 as volunteer editor in chief for the CRE Finance Council’s magazine, CRE Finance World. He regularly contributes articles to industry trade publications including PREA Quarterly, Institutional Investor’s Real Assets Adviser, and Summit Journal (published by the Association of Foreign Investors in Real Estate).

Marc Rutzen, Co-Founder & CEO, HelloData
Marc Rutzen is the Co-Founder & CEO of HelloData, an AI-driven rent survey and revenue management platform for the multifamily industry. Marc worked in real estate development and brokerage for 5 years before launching his previous multifamily predictive analytics startup, Enodo, which he sold to Walker & Dunlop (NYSE: WD) in 2019. From there, he rose to Chief Product Officer at W&D, leading the development of technology that reduced their underwriting times by over 30% and helped source over $10B a year in loan volume before returning to the startup world to launch HelloData last year. Marc received his Master of Science in Real Estate Development from Columbia University and is a licensed managing broker in Illinois. Outside work, he enjoys reading, running, and spending time with his wife and 4 children.

Graeme Waitzkin, COO, ICON
As COO at ICON, Graeme Waitzkin is responsible for all manufacturing, supply chain, field service, material production, and construction operations. Graeme also leads ICON’s business development and sales functions. Graeme began his career in New York with Rogers Marvel Architects and started his first company at the age of 26 to commercialize construction technologies for The New York Exchange, New York Mercantile Exchange, and the Pentagon. Graeme has been an Executive Director at frog, one of the world’s largest and oldest product development firms, where he led product design teams and frog’s venture capital investment offering. Graeme is a Venture Partner at Tuesday Capital, a Seed-stage Venture Capital Firm. Graeme has an MBA and Master of Science in Environment & Resources from Stanford University, as well as a Bachelors in Civil Engineering and a Masters of Engineering Management from Duke University. When not printing buildings or building printers, you can find Graeme doing yoga with his wife or coaching youth sports for his three sons.
