Bangkok Retail Figures Q1 2022

‒ The total retail supply in Bangkok increased to 7.9 million square meters, or 1.4% Y-o-Y.
‒ Thailand’s consumer confidence index (CCI) decreased to 42.0 in March from 43.3 a month earlier amid slowing consumption due to rising inflation and the rapid spread of the Omicron variant. On an annual basis the index declined 6.5 points or 13.4%.
‒ In Q1 2022, the highlight of new supply was the opening of Central Village (Phase 2) with a total net lettable area (NLA) of about 20,000 sq.m.
‒ There was over 1.4 million square meters of retail space either being planned or under construction.
