Despite ongoing economic uncertainty, logistics occupiers in Asia Pacific maintain a positive business outlook for the next three years. Expansionary demand continues, although appetite has weakened slightly compared to 2021.
With logistics demand growth normalising, many occupiers are shifting focus to optimise their operations by reining in costs, improving performance through automation and outsourcing, and strengthening supply chain efficiency and resilience. Portfolio strategies also continue to evolve, with occupiers displaying a stronger preference for logistics facilities that are modern, centrally-located, and equipped with green features.
CBRE’s 2023 Asia Pacific Logistics Occupier Survey features insights from more than 120 logistics real estate executives in the region on their business outlook, growth plans, strategic opportunities and concerns for the next three years. It also paves the way forward for logistics occupiers and investors to re-evaluate their commercial real estate strategies.
