Professional Experience

In October 2018, CBRE launched Hana, a new flexible space offering designed to meet the needs of enterprise and high growth occupiers. Operated as a wholly-owned subsidiary of CBRE, Hana’s core offering is a plug-and-play flexible office solution that features occupier team suites (Hana Team), meeting and conference space (Hana Meet) and coworking space (Hana Share).

Hana leverages CBRE’s market-leading strengths in workplace strategy, occupancy planning, design and build-out, and property and facilities management, with its robust technology capabilities. Hana meets the increasing appetite for flexible space solutions, particularly among enterprise occupiers, which are expected to drive the vast majority of future demand globally.

After serving as Chief Product Officer for CBRE 360, Brian was tapped to become Chief Experience Officer for Hana. Brian is a senior marketing and product executive with experience in early-stage, high-growth and global service organizations including both public and private companies. During his tenure as Executive Vice President and Chief Marketing Officer at Zipcar, the world’s leading car sharing service, he oversaw all brand experience, member acquisition and engagement, public relations, policy and partnership efforts for this innovative urban brand. His expertise led him to be the featured speaker at numerous conferences as well as a sought out interviewee by publications including the Wall Street Journal and The Economist.

Most recently he was the inaugural entrepreneur in residence for the top-ranked Carroll School of Management at Boston College, where he taught, mentored and assisted in program development for both undergraduate and graduate students. Brian has held executive positions at the Boathouse Group, Upromise and Connection to eBay. Earlier in his career worked for EF Education and Sheraton Hotels.

Brian received a Master of Business Administration from the University of Notre Dame and a Bachelor of Science degree with a concentration in finance from Boston College. He currently serves on the board of directors of DropCar (Nasdaq: DCAR) and is an advisor to early stage companies. In 2015, he was named a top New England CMO by VentureBeat, and in 2005 was the recipient of the U.S. Congressional Angel in Adoption Award.
