As Group President, Global Workplace Solutions Enterprise Accounts, Central Division, Darcy Mackay oversees global operations for CBRE’s GWS Occupier clients based in the Central United States and Canada. She has oversight for Enterprise Facility Management, Project Management, Transaction Management and Strategic Consulting services, and leads a team of 9,000+ employees who deliver integrated global services for more than 30 GWS Enterprise accounts. Darcy works extensively with leading Fortune 500 and FTSE 100 occupiers, transforming their Commercial Real Estate performance by optimizing client portfolios and cost, project delivery, facility operations and customer relationship management.
Prior to her current role, Darcy served as Chief People Officer and led CBRE’s program to recruit and develop the industry’s top market-facing, diverse, functional and leadership talent. Darcy oversaw CBRE’s worldwide People operations—which encompass more than 100,000 employees—in the areas of Learning & Development, Diversity & Inclusion, Talent Acquisition, Total Rewards, Workforce Analytics, Employee Relations, People Operations and Systems.
In her tenure with CBRE, Darcy has held many roles including President of Global Workplace Solutions West Division and Chief Operating Officer of the Americas Occupier Advisory and Transaction Services business. Prior to these roles, Darcy served as CBRE’s Global Head of Transaction Management and Portfolio Services, overseeing the operational excellence and growth of CBRE’s largest transaction management accounts. Darcy also served as global head of Consulting, as well as head of EMEA Client Accounts while based in London.
Darcy has consulted with clients throughout Europe, the Americas and Asia to develop portfolio strategies and optimize outsourced performance. Her experience includes work in the areas of corporate strategic planning, organizational change management, land use economics, urban redevelopment, mixed-use/residential development, and spans all asset types. She has also worked with a broad array of industries including oil and gas, health care, manufacturing and R&D, financial services, insurance and technology.
Darcy has been with CBRE for 21 years.
Darcy has been a member of CBRE’s Executive Committee and Global Operating Committee, CoreNet Global and Commercial Real Estate Women. She formerly served as Director and past President of the CREW San Francisco Board of Directors and was a member of the San Francisco Chamber of Commerce Workforce Housing Loan Fund Technical Advisory Committee. In addition, she currently sits on the Board of Directors and Governance Committee for Working Solutions, a San Francisco based micro-finance organization.
Darcy has been a guest lecturer at Harvard University’s Graduate School of Design and served as a course instructor for CoreNet and the California Redevelopment Association.
In 2015, 2016, and 2017 she was named by the San Francisco Business Times as one of “The Most Influential Women in the Bay Area Business.” In 2009 and again in 2013, Darcy was named one of Northern California Real Estate’s Women of Influence.
Darcy holds a Bachelor of Arts, cum laude, from Harvard University. She earned her Master of Public Policy degree, with an emphasis in real estate and land use economics, from the Goldman School of Public Policy, University of California, Berkeley. She continued her executive education through Harvard Business School.
