Professional Expertise


Matt has more than 35 years of cross-border industry experience, in both property services and client-based roles. During his 23+ years at CBRE, Matt has held various positions, including Managing Director in both our Mulgrave and Melbourne offices, prior to assuming the role of Senior Managing Director - Victoria.

In January 2014, Matt was appointed to the role of Regional Director - Pacific, where he was responsible for CBRE's Industrial & Logistics Services business across Australia & New Zealand. The business provides a full suite of Industrial & Logistics property related services, including Leasing; Land & Vacant Possession Building Sales; Development & Supply Chain Consultancy and Capital Markets services including Investment Property Sales and the packaging of Corporate Sale & Leaseback transactions.

In April 2018, Matt was promoted to his current position of Senior Managing Director, Advisory & Transaction Services - Pacific. The Advisory & Transaction business provides specialist transaction representation and portfolio management services to both investors/developers and occupiers, across each of the core commercial property sectors, being Industrial & Logistics, Retail and Office Leasing. This is complemented by market leading advisory Services in the areas of Workplace Strategy & Planning, Supply Chain Consulting and Retail Analytics.

Matt is also a member of CBRE's Global Industrial & Logistics leadership team, in addition to being a senior member of the Pacific business Executive Committee.

Education

Matt has a Diploma in Financial Markets from the Securities Institute of Australia, completed in 1999. During this course, he was awarded the 1998 St. George Bank Prize in Economics. Prior to this, in 1986 he completed the Estate Agency Certificate at RMIT University. Matt completed his Higher School Certificate at Yarra Valley Grammar School, Melbourne in 1981.
