AJ Bernhardt

As an Associate on the Ventura County Retail Advisory & Transaction Services team, AJ Bernhardt supports Larry Tanji in the marketing, research and leasing of single-tenant and multi-tenant retail properties in the Ventura, Santa Barbara and San Luis Obispo Counties. AJ’s strong work ethic and focus in conjunction with his extensive knowledge of the market enable him to provide an excellent level of service to clients.

Before relocating to Southern California, AJ started at CBRE in 2014 in Global Workplace Solutions as a Facility Coordinator, Associate Project Manager, and Program Manager in Portland, Oregon. During that time, AJ was responsible for supporting clients’ workplace experience projects including department realignments, space refreshes, lease terminations, and developing and implementing an enterprise audio-visual (AV) program through partnerships with facilities management, workplace strategy, and IT groups.

AJ received his Master’s Degree in Community and Regional Planning at the University of Oregon where he also was the Assistant Coach of the Ice Hockey team. He received his Bachelor of Arts in Urban Studies and Planning from California State University, Northridge, where he also served as President and Assistant Captain of the Ice Hockey Team, 2008-2012.
