Professional Experience


Alex Jelepis joined CBRE during July 2018 as a First Vice President, and has been Cleveland's leading Downtown office leasing broker since 1992. He has a three decade track-record of consistently increasing Class A and Class B office building occupancy while significantly creating client value.

Alex's Commercial real Estate career began in 1988. During the last 30 years he has represented some of the most prestigious and recognizable Downtown Cleveland business landmarks including 200 Public Square, a 1.3 million square foot, 41-story office tower for which he assumed leasing responsibilities in 1996. During his 16 year tenure leasing this Class A asset, he leased over 800,000 square feet and also sold the property in 2005 for $142,500,000 on behalf of Equity Office. Alex was then selected, post disposition to continue leasing efforts on behalf of the buyer, Harbor Group International, during which time major new leases were signed including Huntington Bank, Cliffs Natural Resources, GSA, McKinsey, Accenture and several other well-known, major occupiers.

Verifiably the leading Cleveland CBD office leasing and sales broker. Class A “trophy” past leasing assignments included 200 Public Square from 1996-2012 having leased 800,000+ square feet in addition to leading 2005 disposition for $143M, Class B leasing of 305,000 square feet at 55 Public Square from 2000-2008, 137,000 new leasing at U.S. Bank Center, additional investment sales of The May Co Building, The Leader Building, 55 Erieview and 1717 E. 9th Street; all transacted during a 10 year period.

The most recent leasing successes were achieved on behalf of Optima International at One Cleveland Center with 167,000 square feet of new leasing accomplished between late 2013 and early 2018 with occupancy increasing, as a result, from 71% to 94%.
