Professional Experience
Andrew Sussman is a Vice Chairman in the Consulting Group with CBRE, a group he has been a member of since 1998. During his tenure, he has been involved in the negotiation and structuring of complex lease and sales transactions for a wide range of corporate clients. With a strong consulting background and an in-depth understanding of the economic and financial statement implications of various real estate transactions, Andrew has played an integral part in the strategic planning and implementation phases of numerous projects. Andrew maintains an active role in the collection, organization, and analysis of all information pertaining to a particular tenant representation assignment. In addition, he brings a wealth of market knowledge and experience to the development of unique, strategic occupancy scenarios and the pursuit of various real estate strategies.
Andrew’s professional experience includes considerable experience in real estate leasing and ownership projects, ranging from large corporate headquarters to standard office leases. In the past four years with the company, he has been involved in more than 10 million SF of transactions, including representing Viacom in its 1.6 million-SF headquarters renewal at 1515 Broadway and Citigroup in its 2.6 million-RSF headquarters renewal at 388-390 Greenwich Street (two of the largest leases ever completed in Manhattan).
In addition, in the past 36 months alone, Andrew was a key
member of the CBRE teams that represented Citadel in its 210,000-RSF lease at
425 Park Avenue (anchor tenancy, new construction); Citibank in its 400,000-RSF
renewal at NOC VII in Jersey City; a Confidential Financial Services client in its 420,000-RSF renewal
and expansion at 750 Seventh Avenue, 260,000-RSF renewal and expansion at 1633
Broadway, and 225,000-RSF renewal at 1221 Avenue of the Americas; Mayer Brown
in its 190,000-RSF relocation to 1221 Avenue of the Americas; Paul Hastings in
its 180,000-RSF relocation to 200 Park Avenue; Baker Botts in its 100,000-RSF
renewal at 30 Rockefeller Plaza; Alston Bird in its 120,000-RSF renewal at 90
Park Avenue; Troutman Sanders in its 90,000-RSF lease at 875 Third Avenue; and
Akin Gump in its 200,000-RSF lease at Alexander Court in Washington, DC and
75,000-RSF lease at The Union in Dallas, TX.
