Andy brings over 25 years of experience in a number of areas of real estate, focusing primarily on engineering. He began his career with IBM Canada Ltd. where he moved through a number of positions ranging from Programmer Analyst to Project Manager of Construction. In 1995, Andy joined Trammell Crow (January 2007 was acquired by C.B. Richard Ellis), which took on the management of IBM Canada's facilities and real estate. While working for Trammell Crow on the IBM account, Andy was responsible for enhancing the business controls of the company and re-organizing the building operations department. Andy managed the purchasing, facility management and engineering departments and initiated a major push on large-scale contracts.
In late 1999 Andy was asked to join the American Express transition team as the Engineering representative. In June 2000, Andy joined the American Express account as the Lead Engineering Director. He was responsible for leading the engineering effort, leading three other Directors of Engineering Services, directly supporting the Central Region of American Express and Canada, leading Facility Reviews for their major sites, commissioning of major facilities and driving standardization of procedures and design standards. He was also responsible for assisting other accounts and customers with engineering related efforts.
In 2005 Andy was promoted to Director, Global Services on the American Express account. He had been responsible for leading on a global basis all infrastructure projects, providing engineering direction, establishing commissioning requirements, interpreting or creating policies and standards as they relate to engineering, leading the development of training programs and implementing systems that enhance engineering globally. In addition, he was responsible for Support Services that included Food, Mail, Copier, Conference and Field Facility Management. He had direct staff in Singapore, Salt Lake City, New York and Toronto. In 2006, Andy was promoted to Vice President, Global Services on the American Express Account.
In 2009 he transferred to the Infrastructure Account, managing the Central Region (20 Million SQ.FT.) as the Central Region Director of FM. In 2012 he assumed the overall management of the FM, HSSE, Critical Facilities and COE services within the account – some 50 Million sq.ft.). He was responsible for all services delivered by the teams within facilities spanning correctional centers, court offices, major office complexes, heritage facilities, land and residential properties.
In late 2013 he took over the leadership of the IBM Canada Ltd. account, as the Alliance Director. He is responsible for all services delivered by the account that include: Critical Facilities, Project Management, Facilities Management, Lease Administration and Procurement.
