Professional Experience
Bernard Duer has been actively engaged in the valuation and consulting service since 1989 and is an appraiser in the Northern California Region of CBRE Valuation & Advisory Services. His appraisal experience has encompassed a wide variety of property types including office, industrial, retail, marinas, and apartments in northern California. A specialty of Mr. Duer is appraising agricultural properties including mixed use ranches, row crop, permanent plantings and wineries in California.
Mr. Duer began his appraisal career as a commercial real estate appraiser in 1989 with the Property Sciences Group, Inc. and joined the CBRE Walnut Creek office in 2012. Before beginning his career in appraising real estate, Mr. Duer worked with the Roulac Real Estate Consulting Group of Deloitte & Touche where he provided analytical, economic and financial modeling and with the New York City Planning Department where he provided retail trade area analysis in association with obtaining Federal grants for local retail associations.
Mr. Duer holds an MA in Geography from Columbia University; a Certified General Appraiser License issued by the State of California; and is a designated associate member of the Appraisal Institute.
