Brad Barsily is an Executive Managing Director for CBRE Capital Advisors, Inc. and leads the group’s Institutional Equity business and its capital raising activities. Mr. Barsily joined CBRE in 2014 and brings over 20 years of institutional capital raising experience and senior level LP relationships to the platform. Mr. Barsily has personally raised capital for and successfully executed on over $4 billion of equity transactions as an advisor from investors across the globe.
Previously, Mr. Barsily served as Director of Institutional Marketing & Investor Services at Rubenstein Partners, a value-add office focused manager based in Philadelphia, PA, where he headed capital raising, focusing specifically on raising Rubenstein Properties Fund II (RPF II). RPF II was raised to acquire distressed office assets in the Eastern US and successfully raised over $500 million in equity commitments.
In addition, Mr. Barsily previously held senior in-house capital raising positions at a pair of LA-based real estate managers including Senior Vice President at CIM Group, a $20 billion AUM manager of opportunistic, core and infrastructure funds and SVP – Capital Development at CityView, an emerging manager principally focused on urban real estate. Prior to that, Mr. Barsily was a Principal with Atlantic-Pacific Capital, one of the largest independent global placement agents, where he had primary responsibility for overseeing capital raises for real estate and infrastructure funds.
Earlier in his career, Mr. Barsily spent nearly a decade as Director of Capital Markets for Connell Finance Company/Connell Real Estate & Development where he was responsible for managing all equity placement and other capital raising activities for Connell’s corporate clients and in connection with equity investments in asset-based transactions made by Connell as Principal.
