Clara E. Sarmiento joined CBRE New Jersey’s Project Management team in July 2010. With over 20 years of experience in the architectural field, and the last seven years focused on Project Management and LEED Consulting, she brings unique expertise and credibility to the existing Project Management unit. As New Jersey’s PJM Eastern Region Leader of the Sustainability Projects Group, Clara works closely with the group’s National Leader delivering Sustainability and Consulting Services. In this role, she collaborates with clients and project teams to develop a scope of work that will specifically meet the client’s goals for sustainability. She then manages the entire LEED Certification Process from start to finish, ensuring that the goals are met by all consultants involved.
Clara’s background as a Design Architect and Project Manager gives her a strong foundation and thorough understanding of the Design/Construction process, financial analysis, workflow management and scheduling.
Previous to joining CBRE, Ms. Sarmiento was a Project Manager and Sustainability Consultant for Jones Lang LaSalle for four years, responsible for managing projects ranging from 10,000–250,000 square feet, as well as handling the LEED Certification of several projects in the Tri-State region.
