Cristian Goodson joined CBRE as an intern that quickly led to an associate role in its Retail Advisory & Transactions Services practice.
His background is diverse and unconventional – having a career in commercial real estate that encompasses global high-street retail representation, investment sales, finance, and corporate lease restructuring of both tenants and property owners.
Within the first few years of his career, Cristian has brokered deals across the United States and was heavily involved in the leasing and merchandising initiatives of high-profile shopping centers and development projects, including Hollywood Park, Santa Monica Place, and Brixton Village in the south of London, England. Additionally, Cristian has worked alongside several prominent luxury retailers, contemporary street fashion brands, and food & beverage groups such as Supreme, Off-White, Aesop, Stone Brewing, and corporate entities including L’Oréal, Kroger, McDonald’s, and Starbucks. Cristian’s rolodex continues to span overseas with relationships comprised of Michelin-starred chefs, premier restauranteurs and digitally native brands that can be seen across North America, South America, Asia, and Europe.
During the nadir of the bear market brought on by the global pandemic in 2020, Cristian diversified his skillset having orchestrated over $10MM in debt financing, worked under CBRE’s Restructuring & Disposition Services Group to provide corporate portfolio solutions, all whilst representing a number of independent, minority-owned restauranters with notable deals in Phoenix, Arizona, and Los Angeles, California.
When retained by Landlords, Cristian applies a meticulous, diagnostic approach to examine a given property’s market position respective of its surrounding retail and hospitality landscape.
When retained for tenant representation, Cristian focuses on working with brands and hospitality operators that are changing the status quo relative to their sector, champion both community and sustainability, and have developed a riveting narrative coupled with a very distinct brand contextualization.
