Professional Experience
Dennis Firestone has worked in the environmental, construction, and property condition field for over 30 years, specializing in risk management, asset management, and environmental due diligence for the financial and real estate industries. During this period, Mr. Firestone has managed the assessment and remediation of thousands of properties domestically and internationally. His clientele has included investment banking firms, national and regional banks, insurance companies, developers, and law firms.
He has been both a provider of these services, having managed offices for various consulting firms providing a wide range of environmental, geotechnical, and construction services, and as a consumer of these services. He spent 12 years at FINOVA Capital Corporation, as the Environmental & Engineering Services Program Manager, overseeing due diligence efforts and direct asset management (including re-branding, mothballing, and demolition); and over five years at Wells Fargo Bank, as Operations Manager for Environmental & Construction Services in the RETECHS group.
Mr. Firestone holds a Bachelor of Science Degree in Geological Sciences from the University of Michigan, and is a Registered Geologist (RG/PG) in several states, as well as a Registered Environmental Manager (REM). He is a certified 1910.120 Hazardous Waste Operations Worker & Supervisor, and Accredited AHERA Asbestos Inspector & Management Planner. He joined CBRE in 2011 as Managing Director in the Assessment & Consulting Services Group.
