Michael Remer is an Associate with CBRE's New York Tri-State Retail Services Group. He currently works with Vice Chairman Richard Hodos, representing tenants and landlords along Manhattan's premier retail corridors.
Some of Michael’s recent client transactions include work with Calvin Klein and Michael Kors on the tenant side, and Koepell Rosen and Rockfeld Group on the landlord side. Michael also represents Brookfield Property Partners in the leasing of retail space at Brookfield Place in downtown Manhattan.
Prior to joining CBRE, Michael practiced commercial leasing for three years at Corcoran, where his experience covered a broad spectrum of retailers, showrooms, restaurants, medical groups and office tenants. Notably, he represented global P.R. giant Ruder Finn in the acquisition and re-purposing of a 34,000 square-foot midtown building for the firm's corporate headquarters. Michael's leasing services were also retained by Corcoran's parent company, NRT, for the relocation the brokerage's Manhattan storefront branches.
Before entering real estate, he began his career at U.S. Trust, Bank of America, advising high-net-worth clients in the areas of credit, banking, and investment management. Michael's analytical thinking, client-relations expertise, and technological savvy, honed over six years in private wealth management, serve him extremely well in commercial real estate, where he approaches every transaction with the same diligence, focus, and goal of exceeding his clients' objectives.
Mr. Remer graduated from the University of Michigan's Ross School of Business in 2007, with a concentration in Finance.
