Elaine Kleinberg is the Managing Director for CBRE’s Midtown Manhattan Office Brokerage Services. Ms. Kleinberg oversees broker development and sales management, with a specific focus on mid-career sales professionals. She also holds responsibility for reviewing and coordinating the legal agreement process for certain brokerage agreements.
A dynamic leader with a commitment to mentorship, Ms. Kleinberg also heads up CBRE Tri-State’s key training initiatives. As the lead for the broker training program, Ms. Kleinberg sets the curriculum and acts as a host for a year-long series of sessions conducted by CBRE and outside subject matter experts—ranging from “soft” topics such self-branding to fundamentals such as negotiating term sheets. She also teaches a bi-annual eight-part lease workshop for CBRE’s junior sales associates, and is often sought out for her practical advice on topics ranging from workplace efficiency to real estate transactions.
Prior to joining CBRE’s management team in 2012, Ms. Kleinberg was the General Counsel at Newmark Grubb Knight Frank for 18 years. In that capacity, she was part of a core team of management professionals who built the company from a small brokerage firm to an international real estate provider.
Ms. Kleinberg began her career as a real estate consultant with Coopers & Lybrand. She then became Managing Attorney for Mantell & Haskell, a boutique firm, where she practiced real estate law and landlord/tenant law.
