As a Operating Engineer with CBRE since 2007, Jim has serviced the Global High Technology Company account’s data centers in multiple states across a large geographical region. Jim’s responsibilities at these sites include coordinating and executing a preventative maintenance schedule of Client owned UPS and Battery systems, emergency generators, HVAC systems, and fire & life support systems as well repairs to these same systems. Jim ensures compliance with all federal, state, and local environmental regulations and maintains documentation of the same.
In addition to his routine duties, Jim has established himself as the “go-to guy” for overseeing the successful shutdown and transfer of ownership of Client servers, thousands of dollars of Client owned equipment, and the supervision of hundreds of thousands of dollars labor. Jim’s supervision has ensured that these large scale and highly visible projects have gone very smoothly and have been regarded very favorably by CBRE’s clients.
Prior to joining CBRE, Jim worked for FEMA, QA and QC certified for Hurricane debris removal and assisted in the cleanup and rebuilding efforts after the Hurricane Katrina disaster from 2005 through 2007. Jim was a Team-Leader for the QA’s and QC’s monitors in the Louisiana and Mississippi counties and was responsible for numerous crews working safely and under controlled conditions.
