James Scott is Managing Principal of CBRE Capital Advisors and heads investments banking in the Americas. He also holds the title of Executive Managing Director and sits on the CBRE Capital Markets Executive Committee. Mr. Scott advises public and private companies in the real estate sector on mergers and acquisitions and capital raising.
Prior to joining CBRE, Mr. Scott was a Managing Director in the real estate investment banking group at Bank of America Merrill Lynch. Previously, he was a member of the real estate investment banking group at UBS and the merger and acquisitions group at JP Morgan. Mr. Scott began his career as an attorney with the law firm of Ropes and Gray.
Over the course of his career in investment banking, Mr. Scott has advised on mergers and acquisitions transactions valued at more than $100 billion and raised capital in excess of $30 billion for clients.
