As the Global Workplace Solutions (GWS) Americas CEO, Jim leads a team of over 20,000+ professionals that serve approximately 240 clients in the U.S., Canada and Latin America, including many of the world’s leading corporations, healthcare systems and governmental agencies. Jim is focused on achieving GWS’s world-class vision, starting with leading the industry relative to client service and value outcomes.
Prior to the GWS merger, Jim served as the Global Corporate Services (GCS) Chief Operating Officer since 2012. Over the past two years, he has been focused on the acquisition and integration of Norland and Johnson Controls GWS business, in addition to his operational leadership responsibilities.
Jim was previously Global Director, GCS Client Accounts, where he led the Americas client account service delivery team comprised of over 7,000 professionals serving approximately 100 large, strategic client accounts. He also served as GCS Regional Director, Americas East in 2007, managing the region following CBRE’s acquisition of Trammell Crow Company.
His other prior roles at Trammell Crow Company include Regional Director, Southeast, where he led all service and lines of business, including the GCS business from 2004 to 2007; and ExxonMobil Alliance Director throughout the U.S, South and Central America, and the Caribbean. Jim first joined Trammell Crow in 1988 as a project-leasing broker in St. Louis. Over an 11-year period, his brokerage practice included tenant representation, project leasing, investment sales, and speculative office development.
Jim started his career in 1984 at the Dallas-based architecture and engineering firm, Architect, HKS. He is a member of the Americas Strategy Group. Jim resides in Atlanta with his wife and three boys.
