Prior to his affiliation with CBRE, Jim served as an officer and head of the trust real estate division at First National Bank of Minneapolis from 1979 to 1983. In 1984, Jim joined his family’s real estate company. Then, in 1991, Jim along with CBRE broker, David Maenner, established the Maenner Real Estate Company after purchasing the commercial brokerage and property management divisions of their father’s company, Maenner Co. The company merged with CBRE|MEGA (now CBRE) in July of 1999.
Jim’s recent significant transactions include the sale of the Omaha Steel Castings property to the University of Nebraska Medical Center, representing NorthStar Financial in two separate build-to-suit office buildings, real estate consulting for several large Omaha real estate owners, and the purchase and sale of real property assets for local, regional and national clients.
