John Taylor is a Senior Vice President in the Seattle office of CBRE Capital Markets. Mr. Taylor is responsible for marketing and origination of HUD FHA construction and permanent financing of multifamily and senior housing.
Mr. Taylor joined CBRE in December 2008. Prior to joining CBRE, he served for 10 years as Senior Vice President and Regional Manager for Prudential Huntoon Paige in Seattle where he managed the origination and underwriting of over $1 billion in FHA insured financing in the western United States.
Mr. Taylor began his real estate finance career at the US Department of Housing and Urban Development. He served as a regional economist for 20 years and then as the chief production officer in the Seattle HUD office for another 6 years. During his time at HUD, Mr. Taylor designed and implemented the first FHA Fast Track processing system, the prototype for HUD’s MAP process. He also designed the first FHA Small Projects Program to streamline the insurance of loan under $1 million.
