Katherine De Melo is a Project Manager for CBRE’s Southern California Edison account within Global Workplace Solutions. Katherine is a highly organized problem solver with 10 plus years of Design and Construction experience in corporate, residential, hospitality,and public environments. She has worked on various projects and has played various roles from creating design standards to managing build-outs.Katherine holds a Bachelor of Fine Arts, Interior Design from Suffolk University. Her degree in Design along with her experience working for various clients enables her to understand and communicate client expectations along with providing assurance that projects will be delivered on-time and within budget.
Prior to joining CBRE,Katherine worked as an Owner Authorized Representative (OAR) PM to YP’s CRE department. As YP (formerly AT&T interactive solutions)distributed their real estate portfolio, Katherine was enlisted to manage the build-out of various projects nationwide. She ensuredthat projects were built to specification on time, tenants moved in on time,and all tenant improvement dollars were reimbursed. Prior to that,Katherine worked as an FF&E and Relocation PM on the Build LACCD program. The Build programwas a $6 Billion effortto modernize nine campuses in the Los Angeles Community College District. Her role involved procuring FF&E using best-value and/or low public contracting, creating furniture layouts for swing space locations during construction,and managing the relocation of departments ensuring a timely and efficient relocation.
