Leigh Ann Sledge is a Valuation Associate with CBRE’s Valuation and Advisory Services Group in Austin, Texas. She brings a broad range of experiences, including financial and lease analysis, portfolio acquisition underwriting, and development and management of self-storage facilities.
After graduating from Texas A&M University in 1998 with BBAs in Finance and Marketing, Mrs. Sledge joined CBRE’s Financial Consulting Group where she was an analyst on CMBS portfolio acquisition underwriting assignments and assisted the brokerage team on lease analysis projects. She later became an investment analyst, trader and finally Assistant Portfolio Manager for an investment advisory firm in Houston. Mrs. Sledge presented investment results for the firm’s $300 million large-cap equity portfolio to institutional Boards of Directors and helped high-net-worth families and individuals ladder portfolios to successfully meet their investment criteria.
While raising her two children, she continued to work part time as a senior analyst for Travis County, both for the Investment Manager and the Travis County Housing Finance Corporation. She handled reporting and accounting functions for a $500+ million portfolio and administered grant programs for affordable housing in Travis County. Concurrently, she created a family partnership through which she developed and managed a multi-phase, 350-unit self-storage facility in Seguin. She has conducted numerous feasibility studies and cash flow analyses for expansion phases and development options for new facilities, and continues to handle financial and marketing functions for the partnership and facility.
