Mary Jo Eaton is President Emeritus at CBRE and a key member of the company’s Client Care team.
With more than 28 years of experience in commercial real estate, Ms. Eaton is well versed in virtually every aspect of the real estate business, including brokerage, management and operations, construction management, asset management, acquisition and disposition and contract negotiations.
In earlier leadership roles, she served as Global President of Asset Services for CBRE, which manages more than 3 billion square feet of commercial property and Global President of Valuation & Advisory Services, which executes more than 470,000 valuation assignments annually around the globe. She also previously served on the company’s Global Operating Committee.
Prior to that, she served as President of CBRE’s Florida and Latin America operations where she was responsible for 18 CBRE owned offices and 4 affiliate offices with more than 3,000 employees.
As Florida Market Leader, Ms. Eaton aligned CBRE’s state-wide management, operations and sales professional teams, and expanded its full-service capabilities throughout the state. This included recruiting numerous sales professionals, enhancing the Asset Services and Project Management business lines and establishing marketing, research and operations centers of excellence.
Ms. Eaton served as Executive Sponsor of the CBRE Hispanic and Latin Business Resource Group which supports Hispanic and Latin professionals globally. A champion for diversity and inclusion in the workplace, Ms. Eaton also served on CBRE’s Diversity Council.
Prior to relocating to Florida, Ms. Eaton was Managing Director of CBRE's Baltimore office and simultaneously oversaw the firm's Asset Services business in the Baltimore-Washington D.C. region, which consisted of approximately 50 million square feet of retail, office and industrial assets under management. She started her career with CBRE as Managing Director of Asset Services in the Philadelphia region, and has held positions with Equity Office Properties Trust (EOP) and Lincoln Property Company.
Ms. Eaton received a Bachelor of Arts from Case Western Reserve University and a Masters of Music from Temple University.
She is Co-Chair of the Miami Musical Arts Association and a member of the Board of Trustees of The Cleveland Orchestra. Ms. Eaton is a former board member of The Commonwealth Institute, a non-profit organization devoted to advancing businesswomen in leadership positions.
