Miguel Isla is a Senior Associate with CBRE’s Miami-based Capital Advisors team covering Latin America and the Caribbean. Mr. Isla works alongside the Capital Advisors and investment banking team, assisting with capital structures, financial underwriting, disposition strategies, and the development of marketing processes and strategies for assignments ranging from one-off asset sales to the sale of large portfolios/companies with responsibilities that go beyond the financial aspects of the deal involving all phases of the sales process.
Miguel has been involved in multiple roles with CBRE. Prior to joining the Miami office, in 2017, he lived in Mexico City where he played an integral role with the investment sales of real estate in Latin America. Miguel was involved in the development and acquisition functions, focusing in single-assets and portfolio transactions across Mexico, Caribbean, and Latin America. In 2016, he joined CBRE’s EMEA office, specializing in hotel investment sales for Spain, Portugal and north Africa.
Prior to joining CBRE, he spent three years in London working for Ellerman Investments specializing in hotel management for the Ritz London and the Cavendish Hotel with the aim of learning the most important investment strategies to further implement them in his upcoming strategic real estate carrier. Additionally, he has participated in several development roles with Astaş Holdings, opening the Mandarin Oriental in Bodrum and the Residences at Mandarin Oriental Etiler, Istanbul. Moreover, he was present during the merge and acquisition of AC Hotels by Marriott, where he was working alongside with the Sales department, headquarters Madrid. Therefore, Miguel has built extensive relations and experience with international real estate developers and owners.
