Mike Cissell focuses on strategy, consulting, and corporate finance for the Hargrove Team. He works with our clients in creating elegant solutions to complex opportunities as well as the exploration of alternative approaches to creating value. The type of assignments, that Mike leads, vary from portfolio reviews to metro plans to metrics measurement and reporting. All of which follow the time-tested "AIM Model" of Advise, Implement and Manage.
Mike has served as the Head of Real Estate at two Fortune 100 firms, Kraft Foods and Baxter Healthcare. At Kraft, Mike managed a portfolio of over 50 million square feet consisting of 1,100 properties. During his 13 year tenure at Kraft, he oversaw two multi-year strategic projects: the rationalization of Kraft’s national distribution network and the strategic realignment of the domestic office portfolio after the acquisition of General Foods and Oscar Mayer.
At Baxter Healthcare, Mike and his team implemented the first strategic alliance focused solely on real estate in 1988. This action helped bring into focus the new reality of corporate and service provider relationships.
Since 1999, Mike has brought his talents to bear on the service provider side of the business. At Colliers International Mike served as Executive Vice President, Corporate Solutions and was responsible for building the global account delivery platform. Most recently, Mike served as an Executive Vice President within JLL’s Corporate Solutions Group focusing on operational account management.
Mike has served as an instructor for CoreNet’s Advanced Finance Curriculum. He has been a guest lecturer at the University of Wisconsin, University of Illinois, University of Tennessee, University of Colorado, Illinois State University and Indiana University as well as many professional forums.
