Namita Kamath leads the CBRE Global Strategy & Planning team for one of the world’s largest IT companies, which holds a 65MSF portfolio of office, manufacturing and data center space. Namita is responsible for the success of the metro planning process globally, portfolio opportunity reviews, support of HP business leadership engagement, senior executive presentations and ad hoc strategic initiatives. During her tenure, strategic planning became more consistent globally and better aligned with business strategy. This enabled the client to meet significant portfolio reduction targets in FY2014. She currently leads CBRE’s support of a major divestiture impacting the entire portfolio.
Prior to joining this Account, Namita led CBRE’s Strategy & Occupancy Planning team for Union Bank, 7M SF. Under her direction, CBRE launched & completed the first metro planning effort at Union Bank. The process took six months for five regions that encompassed 90% of the Union Bank’s office square footage and led to $40M+ in capital approvals. Recommended plan offered ~10% savings in total occupancy expense within four years and a 10-20% improvement in real estate metrics. She also focused on key asset strategies and organizational structure improvements.
In her preceding role, Namita served as the account strategy director for the McKesson Corporation, 17M SF. Namita’s work included support of CRM communications to businesses, strategy & organizational design, alternative workplace strategy development, portfolio planning and strategic reviews of account team operations.
Namita has led strategic projects for many of CBRE’s largest corporate clients. She has worked with CBRE client account leadership to ensure progress of key strategic initiatives, plan optimal organizational designs within CRE, and develop portfolio planning processes. She led several assessments for large client accounts to drive innovation and cost savings.
Prior to joining CBRE, Namita was responsible for national retail real estate strategy at Gap Inc. Namita was instrumental in the real estate decisions for launching new brands or sub-brands; the management of competitor and real estate analysis; real estate growth planning; and relationship management.
