As Managing Director with CBRE’s Asset Services, Neil Kurtz is responsible for executive oversight of a portfolio consisting of 37 million square feet of properties located in the New York/New Jersey region. He began his career with CBRE in May 1998, as Portfolio Manager for the New Jersey region. He was promoted to Senior Real Estate Manager in 1999, Director in 2001 and Managing Director in 2005. He is supported by a staff of Directors, Senior Real Estate Managers, Real Estate Managers, Assistant Real Estate Managers and Property Administrators. His duties include client relations; new business development; the preparation and execution of asset business plans, capital programs and client reporting. In addition, he provides supervision, training and guidance to all his team members.
Prior to joining CBRE, Mr. Kurtz was with Clarion Partners, formerly Jones Lang Wooton Realty Advisors, as an Assistant Controller and Assistant Portfolio Manager. His properties consisted of $1.4 billion of commercial buildings nationwide. His responsibilities at Clarion included financial reporting, asset and portfolio performance measurement and cash management. Mr. Kurtz is considered an expert in financial reporting and is experienced on a number of accounting software programs.
