Professional Experience
Nik Van Nort is a Senior Transaction Manager for HP Enterprise Services (HPES) where he has responsibility for transactions in North America, primarily the Eastern United States and Midwest.
Most recently Mr. Van Nort was a Transaction Manager for Branch Banking and Trust Company (BB&T) providing site selection services for their DeNovo & Land Bank Program as well as executing BB&T’s relocation and consolidation strategies. Mr. Van Nort was responsible for transaction requirements in South Carolina, North Carolina, Eastern Tennessee, Kentucky, Virginia, West Virginia, District of Columbia, and Maryland representing over 75 transaction assignments.
Prior to BB&T, Mr. Van Nort was a Program Analyst for Bank of America’s New Retail Store Program in Charlotte, North Carolina. Mr. Van Nort was part of a team tasked with identifying, securing and coordinating the development of Bank of America’s new banking centers throughout the Eastern United States. As a member of this team, they identified and built over 200 new banking centers in a span of three and one-half years.
From 1995 to 2001 Mr. Van Nort was a member of Trammell Crow Company’s National Retail Group based out of Dallas, Texas. Providing acquisition and disposition services, Mr. Van Nort’s clients included such national retailers as Home Depot, PETsMART, Barnes & Noble, Michael’s, Marshall’s, RadioShack, Payless ShoeSource, and Boston Market. In 2000, as a Senior Associate, Mr. Van Nort‘s primary responsibility was disposing of 43 former grocery store locations throughout the United States representing 1.4 million square feet and approximately $98 million in remaining lease obligations.
