Prior to joining CBRE and its Private Capital Group in Newport Beach (CBRE's first Private Capital Group team nationally) in 2001, Voorhees worked for an Orange County based retail developer specializing in site acquisition and brokerage of "coastal commercial" properties in Southern California. Voorhees's development background and extensive retail experience are particularly helpful to his clients seeking "value added" or repositioning opportunities or when selling complex retail projects.

In 2007, Philip Voorhees and Todd Goodman merged their teams to form the National Retail Partners - West team, combining Voorhees's private capital expertise and systematic, database-driven marketing approach with Goodman's deep experience with institutional clients and anchored centers. Concentrating primarily on the representation of sellers as exclusive listing agents, together Voorhees and Goodman have sold more than 740 retail properties totaling approximately $11.3 billion in value (1Q2019).

Since the start of 2012, NRP-West has sold +320 retail properties totaling +$5.3 billion in value (1Q2019). During this time, the team has averaged nearly 96% of list price and 101% of "probable" pricing per the RFP. This team is extremely consistent and reliable.

Voorhees was also CBRE's #1 retail investment broker nationally in 2015, closing 63 transactions in excess of $947 million in value with his NRP-West teammates.

In 2018, Voorhees and the NRP-West team closed 67 transactions for a value of approximately $1 billion. Voorhees also earned the title of Vice Chairman, CBRE's highest producer title, and one of only two Vice Chairman's in retail.
