Mr. Woodworth, Managing Director, is co-leader of CBRE’s Public Sector Management Consulting team. He has more than 35 years of specialized hospitality industry experience in both a consulting and hands-on operational capacity. Mr. Woodworth specializes in providing strategic business advisory services to the Department of Defense and the federal land management agencies as relates to all forms of quality of life, lodging, food & beverage, recreation, and visitor services, which he has been doing for more than 28 years. He is a US Army veteran, having served on active duty and in the National Guard as a Finance Officer. Mr. Woodworth is based in Boston, but regularly visits the Washington D.C. area.
Most recently, Mr. Woodworth was the Project Director working for the Office of the Secretary of Defense, Military Community and Family Policy on Morale, Welfare and Recreation Innovation (MWR-I) project, a multi-year effort working with the Marine Corps and the Army to transform the MWR service delivery model currently in use on military installations. Further, for the same client, he led the consulting team on the Healthy Base Initiative, a three-year transformation and innovation project focused on improving the food and active living environments on military installations.
Prior to coming to CBRE, Mr. Woodworth was the National Practice Leader for Public Sector Consulting Services at one of the largest hospitality consulting firms in the country. He managed the firm’s Boston office, which included coordination of all consulting services for the New England market area. He was responsible for the management, conduct and quality control of wide variety of hospitality, recreation and retail real estate counseling services for federal, state and municipal agencies and private sector companies. His areas of expertise include strategic planning, business planning, consumer preference research, market feasibility analysis, financial and investment analysis of public sector hospitality, recreation and retail entities. His duties also include conducting private sector market analyses, financial analyses, asset disposition, market studies and appraisal assignments.
