Richard Charles is a 30-year veteran in commercial real estate. Having developed his real estate experience working in both the Manhattan and New Jersey office markets primarily as a tenant representative, Mr. Charles offers a rare combination of expertise and perspective to his clients. He has substantial real estate leasing, sales and consulting experience representing both to be invaluable to corporations in the development and implementation of their strategic real estate plans.
Mr. Charles is a member of CBRE’s national Life Science Group. In this role, he has assisted biotech and pharmaceutical companies in the evaluation and acquisition of both laboratory and manufacturing facilities.
Mr. Charles began his real estate career at the Edward S. Gordon Company in Manhattan where he was a consistent top performer. While in New York he taught a course in “Leasing and Marketing Commercial Real Estate” at the New York University Real Estate Institute. After 16 years in Manhattan he moved to the New Jersey office of the company and developed a following in the suburban marketplace while continuing to represent Manhattan based corporations. He was named a “Broker of the Year” by the Gale Company and was recognized by Equity Office for his representation of Saudi Aramco both in 2003. He was named “Dealmaker” by Tishman Speyer Properties in 2004.
