In his Senior Project Manager role in the New York region, Robert Israel manages design and construction-related processes with the project team. He interfaces directly with the client in regards to RFPs, contracts, specific client requirements and programming related issues. Mr. Israel develops conceptual budgeting for construction management projects, coordinates and awards competitive bids, coordinates lease/tenant work, performs value engineering with architect and engineer involvement and supervises commercial office space construction projects. His experience includes extensive corporate headquarters relocation work.
Mr. Israel joined CBRE with the company’s acquisition of Advocate Consulting Group in New York, where his responsibilities included work for Morgan Stanley Dean Witter in Westchester, NY, and overseeing MetLife’s relocations to Long Island City, Jersey City and White Plains. He also served as Senior Project Manager for CIBC World Market’s move into new U.S. headquarters at 303 Madison Avenue. He most recently has handled the building development and renovation for the Convent of the Sacred Heart in Greenwich, CT, and due diligence, negotiations and build-out of space for the CIT Financial Group in Manhattan.
Before joining Advocate, Mr. Israel was associated with a large NYC construction management firm, where he directed a start-up and business development subsidiary of that company. He was responsible for staffing, estimating and purchasing, including negotiating contracts with subcontractors, scope review and complete job kit analysis.
