Stephen D’Amato is currently a First Vice President with Thomas Monahan’s team in Saddle Brook, New Jersey office—one of the top teams in the country.
Serving with Thomas Monahan—the team’s Executive Vice President—and Vice President Larry Schiffenhaus, Stephen offers his clients a unique value proposition. There are no junior or novice brokers on the team; and as a result, each client—whether seeking a 1,000-sq.-ft. lease or a 1-million-sq.-ft. build-to-suit project—receives the same expert and dedicated attention.
Currently, Stephen takes the lead on a significant portion of the team’s occupier representation pipeline, but also works closely with agency partners. In the past three years, Stephen has represented parties on large-scale leasing transactions, including: Prologis – Pratt, SIP, Source Logistics; Bridge Development — Target; Cohen Asset Management — MAT Logistics; Souto Properties — American Hygiene Industries; High Street Equity — The Clark Group, ADB Associates — Pochet of America, Hurricane Associates — U.S. Postal Services; Terreno — Victoria’s Secret, and JT Realty – Core Pharma. Collectively, these transactions represent ±2.4 million sq. ft.
On the investment side, Stephen focuses on delivering the most accurate, timely and decision-driving market knowledge available. Stephen is often the first call, whether clients simply need insight to provide clarity around strategic initiatives, or are actively embarking upon a search. As a testament to the loyalty this kind of service inspires, Stephen continues to be the broker of choice for the clients he closed deals for his first year in the business—almost 16 years ago.
In addition to his extensive occupier representation business, Stephen has closed more than $18.9 million in non-investment sales since 2014. His accounts include large corporate clients across manufacturing, agricultural, chemical and other categories.

Stephen manages service delivery for his clients, advising and overseeing projects from start-to-finish to strategically integrate CBRE resources that include debt and equity financing, comprehensive market and financial analysis, incentives procurement and appraisal/valuation support.
Stephen graduated from Rutgers University with a Bachelor of Arts in Economics and currently resides in Northern New Jersey with his wife and three young children. He is an avid student of Krav Maga, a military-style self-defense system, and enjoys the Jersey Shore, spending time with family and cooking.
