As a Senior Consultant in CBRE’s Saddle Brook, New Jersey and Midtown Manhattan offices, Steve Gardner provides customized, innovative workplace solutions to clients across an extensive range of industries. Steve joined CBRE in 2013 as a senior member of a team providing strategic consulting services including portfolio optimization and run rate savings analysis to a New Jersey-based Fortune 20 company. Since 2018 however, he has widened his scope to include advising internal and external clients, as well as providing thought leadership across a multitude of complex real estate issues.
With more than 27 years of varied commercial real estate experience, including work in both tenant and landlord representation, in addition to strategic consulting and research, Steve has a diverse skill set that he uses to find creative solutions to an ever-shifting set of real estate concerns. He also assists clients in aligning their real estate program with the company’s overarching business objectives.
Prior to joining CBRE, Steve was Senior Vice President and Director of Marketing, Research and Business Development for DTZ (now Cushman & Wakefield). He has also worked for several noted developers, including Trammell Crow Company, SJP Properties and J.G. Petrucci Company. In addition, Steve was a co-founder of Waterfall Capital Partners, where he conducted feasibility and marketing analyses, recruited new hire candidates, and developed detailed business plans for capital funding and potential acquisitions.
