Steven Shupp is a Project Management Director with CBRE in the Advisory & Transaction Services group, and contributes more than twenty-five years of architectural, property and project management, and construction experience to his role, and has specific expertise in development management and "build to suit" project representation. Mr. Shupp currently oversees a team of project managers for San Diego and Orange County.
Prior to joining CBRE, Mr. Shupp was the Director of Project Management for Cushman & Wakefield in San Diego for fifteen years. Prior to joining that group, as General Manager for Spring Street Development in Los Angeles; Mr. Shupp’s projects included a 230,000 square foot tenant improvement renovation for several City of Los Angeles agencies, including the LAPD and Departments of Public Works, Animal Regulation, Information Systems, and Cultural Affairs.
At Cushman & Wakefield, Mr. Shupp had successfully managed projects for Illumina, Willis Insurance, Novartis Pharmaceuticals, National Pen, Carl Zeiss Vision, Woodbury University, 3E, the Scottsdale Culinary Institute, Crown Equipment, Metropolitan Life, Hines, Centex Homes, Curtiss Wright, the Aventine Office Building, Siemens Corporation, Catalyst Power, ABB Inc., AIG, Expedia, SkinMedica, VPSI, Bureau Veritas, BB&T Insurance, Zogenix and Cadence Pharmaceuticals. Mr. Shupp has previously been appointed as the Program Manager for Nokia Mobile Phones in the Americas, with responsibility for the development of performance and reporting standards and management of C&W project managers in the United States, Mexico, and South America. In addition, Mr. Shupp was personally responsible for the completion of more than twenty local projects at Nokia’s San Diego campus valued in excess of $40M, including the development of two buildings and several technology laboratories and anechoic chambers. He was an integral project team member in the development of Broadcom’s 650,000 SF global headquarters campus in Irvine. During the last five years, Mr. Shupp oversaw several San Diego law firm projects, including Morrison & Foerster, Fish & Richardson, Bernstein Litowitz Berger & Grossmann, Manning & Kass, Kimball Tirey & St. John and McDermott Will & Emery.
Mr. Shupp has recently completed a 350,000 biotech campus tenant improvement for Illumina Inc. He is currently engaged in two tenant improvement projects for CoStar in San Diego and Irvine.
