Alex is an Economist on the global research team at CBRE. He works closely with the Chief Economist and Global Head of Research to generate insights on Commercial Real Estate (CRE) and the broader economy.

Alex’s skill set spans the research life cycle: discerning business needs, sourcing high-quality data sets, translating inputs into compelling visualizations, and tailoring findings for diverse audiences. In particular, he is passionate about bridging the gap between academia and industry by using econometric techniques to answer questions about CRE’s intersections with financial markets, technological change, and ESG. He has authored numerous reports and has been quoted in The Wall Street Journal, Bloomberg, Commercial Observer, and other publications.

Alex is based in Washington, D.C. Prior to joining CBRE, he served as a Presidential Fellow at The George Washington University while earning his Master’s in Applied Economics. Alex has completed six marathons and is always looking forward to the next one. He is from Taipei, Taiwan.
