Professional Experience

As a Senior Project Manager with CBRE’s downtown Chicago Project Management Group, Carl Graves is responsible for leading comprehensive project teams through all phases of strategic planning, design, construction, and occupancy of commercial real estate entities. With outstanding communication skills, attention to detail, and a goal-oriented mentality, Carlis committed to mitigating risks and accelerating savings in order to maintain his client’s occupancy and operational goals.

Prior to CBRE, Carl had spent the last 19 years in Chicago and Houston focusing on Design Build contracting, Program Management and provided planning, construction, quality control, design, schedule, financial, and change management enabling him to successfully deliver complex, fast track projects, large and small in scale. His systematic and results driven approach to turnkey design and construction management appeals to a wide audience of clients and developers. He has served on program management teams for both municipal and institutional clients responsible for delivering over $350 million of municipal capital assets including Richard M. Daley Library and the Onahan Elementary School extension, and $240 million of capital improvements for BP including tenant improvements, restacks, moves, mechanical system upgrades and reorganization. More recently as a Design Build construction manager he delivered nearly a million SF of ground up industrial park for Sterling Bay, over 130,000 SF of class A office space for WeWork, and the buyout of over $30 million in trades for Midwest Related on the Lathrop Homes Mixed use development.
