Cary Crain, MAI

Cary serves as Vice President with Valuation & Advisory Services in the Nashville office where he leads the Industrial and Self-Storage Valuation Groups. He joined CBRE in April 2021 after seven years with Valbridge Property Advisors in Memphis, where he most recently served as Managing Director. Cary received the 2022 CBRE Rise Award, which is awarded to the employee who consistently demonstrates the values of CBRE: Respect, Integrity, Service, and Excellence.

He has extensive experience with institutional properties and large portfolio valuations and has served a broad range of clients including owners, developers, commercial and investment banks, insurance companies, law firms and REITs. In addition to industrial and self-storage, Mr. Crain’s expertise incorporates a variety of property types, including auto dealerships, medical, mixed use, multifamily, office, raw land, and various types of retail. He currently holds Certified General Appraisal licenses in Alabama, Arkansas, Georgia, Kentucky, Mississippi, North Carolina, Tennessee, and Virginia.

Mr. Crain is on the advisory board of the Tennessee Chapter of the Appraisal Institute and currently serves as a member of the education committee. He is a Tennessee native and a graduate of Christian Brothers University, where he was a pitcher on the baseball team. He lives in the Nashville area with his wife and two dogs.
