
Professional Experience
Associated Office
David Ballard joined CBRE in 2019 through its acquisition of REATA Real Estate. Prior to the merger, David led the office/medical brokerage team at REATA. To date, he has completed more than $200 million in leasing and investment sales, winning the Top Producer Award every year from 2007 through 2015. He became a REATA partner in 2016.
Prior to joining REATA in 2006, David began his real estate career at Grubb & Ellis' San Antonio Office Properties Division where he was named Rookie of the Year. Within three years, he advanced rapidly, joining Stream Realty Partners as a Vice President. He has participated in the Leadership Development Program with the Real Estate Council of San Antonio. The San Antonio Business Journal named him a 'Rising Star 40 Under 40, a member of 'Who's Who in Commercial Real Estate and most recently one of 2016's Top Brokers in Commercial Real Estate.
An active community leader, David is a Past President of the Downtown San Antonio Rotary Club, Past President of the South Texas, CCIM Board and Past Chair of the Economic Development Committee of Hollywood Park. He is a former Board Member of Easter Seals and the Greater Chamber CBD. He currently serves as a Board Member of the Real Estate Council Executive Board (EDF Chair) and San Antonio Rotary Club and is also the immediate past Chairman of the YEF Rotary Scholarship Fund and still very involved in the club. David is the current Executive Vice President of the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society Executive Board (2019-2025).
David is married and has two children.
