Deborah Romano

Deborah Romano is a Senior Director with CBRE’s Project Management group based in New York City. Ms. Romano joined CBRE in 2000 through its acquisition of Trammell Crow Company. Ms. Romano works on major restack efforts, tenant improvement work, as well as capital improvement projects. Her assignments have extended beyond New York City as she has performed work in various other states. Ms. Romano’s 19 years of experience as a project manager, coupled with her technical background, enables her to successfully manage the design and construction process on behalf of her clients. In 2008, she became a LEED AP and she has also managed teams on various assignments.

Prior to joining CBRE, Ms. Romano held in-house positions with UBS, Smith Barney Shearson and American Express, respectively. Her tenure consisted of leading teams on several extensive restack projects. She is able to incorporate her expertise of Corporate Project Management to interact with similar users. She is familiar with collaborating with the myriad of internal support functions of large corporations that is often required on corporate assignments. In addition to corporate work, Ms. Romano has also worked on a number of variable assignments that encompass clients from many types of businesses.

In addition to her technical expertise, Deborah is capable of building strong rapports with clients and this translates into successful project management. She won CBRE’s Project Management Professional of the Year in 2008 as well as other awards in 2010 and continues to receive accolades from clients and management with each project that she works on. Beyond managing projects, Deborah is often involved with mentoring and training new members of the team. She takes a very practical approach to managing projects and has been successful in sharing her knowledge with others.
