Professional Experience
Drew Harney joined the Charlotte office of CBRE in 2018 as a Senior Investment Sales Analyst with the Carolinas Multifamily Investment Properties team. In his current role, Drew leads multifamily investment sales support in the production of Brokers Opinions of Value, proposal presentations and offering memorandums to amplify transaction volume for the team. His focus is to produce high-quality deliverables for institutional clientele across all multifamily asset types, which require a thorough understanding of property characteristics and performance, extensive market research and comprehensive financial underwriting procedures.
Prior to joining CBRE in Charlotte, Drew worked as an Associate Analyst with Hartford Investment Management Company (HIMCO), based in Hartford, CT. During his time at HIMCO, Drew evaluated senior mortgage financing opportunities with an emphasis on the top 25 metropolitan statistical areas, and was involved in the origination and closing of over 40 CML transactions ($1.25 billion +) across various asset types including multifamily, industrial, office and grocery-anchored retail.
Drew graduated from the University of Connecticut School of Business in 2015 with a bachelor’s degree in Real Estate and Urban Economics. During his undergraduate studies, Drew operated as the Vice President of the Real Estate Society, worked at the Center for Real Estate, and competed in collegiate case competitions alongside top-tier real estate programs.
