Elizabeth Foley Balch

Elizabeth (“Liz”) is a Senior Transaction and Portfolio Manager on the Occupier Services team for CBRE, Inc. in Washington, D.C. Though she originally hails from Worcester, MA, Liz has lived in Washington, D.C. since 2008 and has been working in the commercial real estate industry in D.C. since 2011. Liz has been involved in the execution of hundreds of lease transactions totaling more than 1 million sq. ft. for companies all over the world.

At CBRE, Liz specializes in large portfolio services and helping multi-market corporate accounts by implementing their real estate plans. Liz prides herself on having a deep understanding of the real estate market as well as her client's strategic real estate goals. Her main responsibilities include defining space requirements, market survey review, building and site tours, proposal negotiations, lease document review, critical date/data tracking and management, financial integration, and transaction reporting for executive review.

As a Senior Transaction and Portfolio Manager, Liz manages each real estate transaction from start to finish ensuring accuracy and consistency throughout every project. Her focus is on being proactive, assessing each transaction well in advance of lease expirations for optimal results.

Since starting at CBRE in 2012, Liz has worked on many multi-market accounts. She has been involved in transactions ranging from lease renewals to lease terminations and everything in-between. Specifically, Liz has been instrumental in helping clients shed excess space to save on occupancy costs. Most recently, Liz led a major effort to dispose of excess space for a client, effectively trimming their portfolio by 20% across the U.S.
