James Scott is the Co-Head of U.S. & Canada Investment Banking for CBRE and is a senior member of the Capital Markets leadership team. Mr. Scott advises public and private companies in the real estate sector on mergers and acquisitions and capital raising.

Prior to joining CBRE, Mr. Scott was a Managing Director in the real estate investment banking group at Bank of America Merrill Lynch. Previously, he was a member of the real estate investment banking group at UBS and the merger and acquisitions group at JP Morgan. Mr. Scott began his career as an attorney with the law firm of Reboul MacMurray (now Ropes and Gray).

While at CBRE, Mr. Scott has advised on over $30bn in M&A transactions and raised private equity capital in fund and joint venture format of over $10bn. Over the course of his career in investment banking, Mr. Scott has advised on M&A transactions valued at more than $130 billion and raised capital in excess of $30bn for clients in both the public and private markets.
