In September 2018, CBRE Group, Inc. (NYSE: CBRE) acquired CB Richard Ellis-N.E. Partners, L.P. (CBRE/New England), a long-standing joint venture with Whittier Partners Group and the leading full-service commercial real estate services operation in New England.
Mr. Walega joined CBRE/New England in 1999 and has managed numerous urban and suburban portfolios over the past 17 years. Currently, Mr. Walega is responsible for managing an 824,552 SF portfolio consisting of Class A properties in Boston's Back Bay. Mr. Walega oversees all aspects of the day-to-day operations of the properties as well as the financial reporting of the portfolio. Mr. Walega is particularly focused on tenant relations and has experience in overseeing significant capital improvement, tenant improvement, energy efficiency, and building repair and maintenance projects.
Mr. Walega has been nominated by his peers on several occasions as a candidate for the BOMA Property Manager of the Year Award and received the award in the Mid-Rise category for 2008.
