Jennifer Zafft

Jennie Zafft, CMD, CRRP is an experienced Marketing professional specializing in strategic planning, brand management, public relations, advertising/media, sponsorships, customer service, financial and ROI management, and market research. Ms. Zafft has a background in developing, planning, implementing, and managing all aspects of the marketing, advertising, public relations, tenant relations and communication programs in shopping centers.

In her current role at CBRE, Inc. Ms. Zafft has been instrumental in putting together Global Standards for Marketing for CBRE Retail Property Management. She mentors CBRE’s marketing managers and oversees local marketing programs for shopping centers that CBRE manages across the United States. She manages market level strategies, creative messaging, media, and sponsorship activations to drive traffic and sales, ROI, brand awareness and brand consideration metrics for this portfolio.

Ms. Zafft has over 20 years of proven expertise in advertising, marketing, public relations, event management and live entertainment. During Ms. Zafft’s previous role as Associate Director of Promotions for VEE Corporation she developed advertising, sponsorship, group sales and public relations campaigns for Sesame Street Live, Dragon Tales Live and Bear in the Big Blue House Live tours She oversaw national media, vendor, and retailer promotions. She devised overall marketing, sponsorship, and sales strategies for over thirty top grossing domestic dates and oversaw sales of 300 domestic engagements.

She was awarded the industry’s highest marketing honor, a Gold U.S. MAXI Award from the International Council of Shopping Centers, in 2011 in the Inter Disciplinary Campaigns category for a Recycling Program she implemented. She also won a Silver U.S. MAXI in 2018 and two in 2021 for her successful marketing programs. She has presented at ICSC’s Fusion Conference. She has previously served as the Secretary of the Board of Directors of the Minnesota Shopping Center Association, Vice President of the Board of Directors for The Caring Tree, President of the Twin Cities Tourism and Attractions Association and President of the Arbor Lakes Business Association.
